Hey y’all! The bahrnob crew is back with another update and this one is going to be a bigger one. Happy holidays to y’all and sorry if we haven’t been super active this past month. This last month has been crazy busy for all of us and today is Spoopy’s birthday! As always thank y'all for being so patient and trusting us with this group buy! Now for the updates:
BRASS pieces have arrived! We did a little photoshoot the other day with fully built bahrnobs and the brass pieces! Here are the pics for y’all! We tried as many combos as we possibly could with the keycaps and colors that we had on hand (woo whee that black on brass though).
We are in the process of QCing the brass pieces and testing their fitments. All weights fit perfectly. There has been an issue with some of the brass bahrs, particularly with the fitment of the E-white cases. We had originally accounted for the extra width that the e-coating would have taken, but our manufacturer made a mistake with the coatings so tolerances for bahrs and e-white cases are too tight. In addition to this, the manufacturer made a mistake with the brass knobs and they are also too tight to fit on the rotary encoders. We have discussed our disappointment with our manufacturer and they are working on fixing the tolerances for us and have told us that they will send us fixed brass bahrs and knobs by the end of this month
QC is done for all aluminum cases, weights, bahrs, and knobs! This took quite a while, but we are done QCing all aluminum pieces and are in the process of shrink wrapping them and sorting them out in to their respective orders.
Packaging for all screws, gaskets, bumpers, and daughter-boards (basically all mounting hardware) is complete.
Build guide: We are working on a build guide for the board. Once bahrnobs ship, we will release this build guide on our website! We will also make a video build guide to post along with this, similar to how rama does theirs.
Extras: Many people have been asking about extras. We will be releasing more info on this later (after all gb orders have shipped). Just know they will be happening, and brass upgrades will be prioritized for those who purchased a bahrnob during the original group buy period.
Ka-tet FR4 Plates: Ka-tet is currently running a gb for FR4 plates for the bahrnob! We are working with him in order to ship these plates alongside bahrnob orders so that you don’t have to worry about paying double shipping costs. More info can be found in the #3rd-party-plate-gbs channel!

But in all seriousness, after pestering our pcb manufacturer for updates, they recently got back to us about them! They were produced and ready to ship to us, but as our manufacturer was checking them, there was an issue with hot swap sockets on a significant number of pcbs. Because of this, they told us that they are working on fixing them. They gave us an estimate that it should take them a couple of weeks to fix this. We will ask them if they can send us some pics so we can at least give y’all a sneak peek of what they will look like.
Because of the issues with the brass fitment and pcb delay, we are unfortunately going to have to delay our original estimated shipping date. We are really upset about this and want to apologize if we let y’all down with our original Q4 2021 shipping date. The new expected shipping date will be January 2022. Once these items come in, we will ship them out as soon as we can! Thank y’all for understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
